Book = Finished!

Happy Exhaustion

Happy Exhaustion

So its done. Finished. Can’t do no more. I sent off the final galley copy of the manuscript to my editor, Julia at Harper Studio last week. Since then, I’ve been trying to recoup and get my online life/presence back in order. I know that this blog has been stagnant – nay, dead – for the past few months, and for that I apologize. My only excuse for this lack of activity has been the amount of writing and traveling craziness going on in my life over the past year.

I started work on my proposal this time last year with the Agency Group, only a month after graduating from Montana State University. Since then, I’ve had assignments in South Africa, Canada, China, England, and Mexico. I’ve taken thousands of photos; written a 250 page book; been hit by two cars; skated down the Great Wall of China; watched a naked rendition of Beauty and the Beast with Paul McCartney’s older brother; moved my life to New Zealand; and most recently have moved my life back from New Zealand. I’m now back in Montana and looking for a decent stretch of time to rest, regroup, and get this thing running again. Over the next couple of months, I’m going to begin recounting some of the adventures that I dealt with traveling all over the world while trying to learn the in’s and out’s of becoming a professional writer and photographer. Keep checking back for more photos, stories, and even a few book excerpts.

    Kevin,
    It was great to see you in Missoula last week. People are still talking about your wonderful exhibit!
    Just wanted to let you know that your forthcoming book, Double Take, is already listed on Amazon.com and I have already pre-ordered some copies. When you do your book tour through Montana, I will purchase at least one more from our local seller here in Missoula.
    Hope you are getting some well-deserved R&R, and hope to see you soon when we really have a chance to catch up.
    Take care,
    Marsha

    Kevin,
    I work for the Country Bookshelf in Bozeman, and we’d really love to host a reading/presentation and signing when your book is released if that can be squeezed into your schedule.

    I was a student at MSU during some of the time you were there, and I enjoyed seeing The Rolling Exhibition at the Exit Gallery. The photographs are gorgeous and thought-provoking.

    Congratulations on the publication of your book! I’m excited to share it with our customers and will definitely put an announcement on our website and in our email newsletter. I’m also contacting your agency regarding an event, but I thought I’d also try to contact you more directly to send well wishes and appreciation for your work.

    Best,
    Ariana
