Hi Kevin.
Dull Sunday morning in Worcester UK here!
Just listened to your BBC interview on the BBC web site and it was sooooo good. In my life I have been fortunate to have met many people, some being (not sure what to say) disabled is not the right word! Someone I met was born with just two thumbs and a tiny one inch long finger on each hand. He was a fantastic artist! I so admire people who who overcome whatever problems they have. Pity you're not here at the moment. I'm just off to the pub for a lunchtime pint of good English beer.
If ever you're over in the UK again. Let me know!

Hi Kevin,
Heard your interview on NPR last week and ordered if off Amazon. Just about done. It was a great read. Made me laugh a lot, just about made me cry when you left your girlfriend (guess a lot has happened since then) but mostly just inspired me to love life.

I just heard the bit on my podcast, most e-mailed stories. You're amazing! The part about Sarajevo is really moving. But what really made the story worth listening to is your wonderfully bright laughter. It's like an ice cream cone with sprinkles on a hot summer day; I love it!!

Caught the interview Saturday, ordered the book last night, checked out the blog today (from the link on the NPR site). The video in the next post was fun–thanks for putting that up. The interview with Scott Simon was wonderful. I'm looking forward to hearing a longer version with Terry Gross.

I missed the show but will visit the website after posting this. I was visiting NYC last week with my two sons and escaped the heat by ducking into a cool bookstore with them. I was picking up another book while there but yours managed to catch my eye –my own double take of sorts, I suppose. I devoured your book –it's brilliant and teaches so much that I as a mother would hope to teach my boys. I have just lent your book to my 12-year old son –our first motherson book reading –and can't wait for the conversation that will follow it. Thank you for sharing your story. It's powerful.
